The Nissan Altima has always been a firm family favorite sedan and the 2015 model has just raised the bar to a whole new level.
Leading from the Front
The 2015 Nissan Altima is the ultimate family sedan and offers you everything that you would ever desire in a family sedan. The Nissan Altima V6 and four-cylinder engine are both class leaders and offer you outstanding power with an acceleration of 0=60 mph in less than 8 seconds! The ride is smooth, refined and quiet, while the handling athleticism of the Altima has always been exceptional. If you were keeping count the 2015 Nissan Altima scores a near perfect across all the different aspects that it offers drivers and that is the reason why it is so highly rated amongst all drivers. Nissan has got their hands on an absolute gem of a car with the power and handling capabilities of their latest model blowing their rivals away. Fuel efficiency has always been a strong point for Nissan, and if you want a car that provides you with an outstanding drive, fuel efficiency and magnificent features then look no further!
The 2015 Nissan Altima leads from the front and fares comparatively better against its rivals, such as the Honda Accord, the 2015 Ford Fusion and the 2015 Mazda 6. That is the reason so many drivers are calling the Altima, the perfect family sedan.
Perfection in Every Form
The 2015 Nissan Altima is offered in 2 main configurations, mainly the 2.5 and the 3.5 trims. The 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine is perfect for families but if you want more power under the hood then the 3.5 liter V6 engine can really step it up a notch. The most impressive thing about the Nissan Altima is that the company really has gone all out and stocked their car full of extraordinary features. These include 16-inch steel wheels, height-adjustable driving seat, 4.3 inch LCD information, full power accessories, four-speaker sound system, Bluetooth phone & audio connectivity along with automatic headlights, keyless ignition entry, USB port, rearview camera, smartphone app integration and satellite radio. It has raised the bar high and managed to provide drivers with perfection in every form.
Pushing the Performance Barrier
The best part about the 2015 Nissan Altima is that it has 2 major engines for drivers, the 2.5 liter and the V6 engine. The 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine boasts of an estimated 182 horsepower and a 180 pound-feet of torque, while we put the pedal to the metal and actually clocked the Altima at an amazing 0-60 in 7.8 seconds, which is highly impressive for a family sedan. The great thing is that the Altima is not all about speed and offers an exceptional 31 mpg combined fuel economy. Nissan has really pushed the performance barrier and has managed to provide drivers with a car that is not only fast but is extremely fuel efficient at the same time.
The 2015 Nissan Altima with the 3.5 liter V6 engine boasts of 270 horsepower with 251 pound-feet of torque and when we took it for a spin we were blown away by the sheer acceleration of the machine. The Altima managed to clock from 0-60 in just 6.2 seconds! That is better than impressive, and it also managed to provide decent fuel economy with such raw power with a combined 26 mpg. It simply doesn't get any better than this when it comes to fuel efficiency, driving comfort and speed!
Setting New Standards in Safety Features
The 2015 Nissan Altima has raised the bar in terms of the safety features that it provides in all its trim designs. All the trim levels have got their own specific safety features and the standard trim comes with stability and traction control, side and front curtain airbags, antilock brakes, rearview camera, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring. With such impressive safety features added to the Altima we decided to put it to the test and were surprised by how efficiently all of them worked. The Altima 2.5 SV sedan managed to come to a halt from 60 mph in 120 feet, which is decent for any family sedan. The Altima 3.5 SL however, completely blew us away since it stopped in 114 feet, which is absolutely superb and goes on to show that the Altima is one of the safest cars out there today.
The 2015 Altima also scored superbly well when it comes to crash testing, and has also been awarded 5 stars for complete crash protection, 5 stars for side impact safety and 5 stars for frontal impact safety. The IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety) gave the 2015 Nissan Altima a good rating on its crash impact safety features and that further raises the bar for all its competitors.
Peeking Inside the Altima
Nissan has always delivered classy vehicles and the 2015 Nissan Altima is even better than all its predecessors put together. The car oozes class from all angles, and the look maybe simple, but on closer inspection you get to see all the detail and fine work that has gone on the body of the car. Nissan has not compromised on the interior of the Altima and has offered ultimate comfort with the NASA-inspired “Zero Gravity” front seats that are supportive and well shaped. There is plenty of room inside the car and the luxury features inside such as the default 5 inch touchscreen, smartphone app integration and the NissanConnect Apps system ensures that the Nissan Altima fulfills every family's technological demands.
