Used 2009 Nissan Titan
These blog posts are from guest authors who bought cars from us and wanted to share their stories.
I never believed in love at first sight, until now. The feeling was overwhelming with my heart beating fast, my hands becoming clammy, and my pulse racing. I felt like my body was disconnected from the world. It was actually during the test drive of the Nissan Titan that I realized I was in love – with the car.
People around me always said how much they were in love with their car. I just never thought that I would utter those same words. What I liked about the car? I liked the shape, design, and the way it smelled when you sat in it. What I liked the most was sitting behind the wheel and taking it out on long drives. Every morning, I scrubbed the car clean, sat down on the front porch, and waited for the sunlight to bounce of its hood. All the guys and girls were amazed at my choice of car.
They never thought that someone like me would go for a pick-up style truck. FYI: I am a girl in my mid-twenties who loves getting dolled up. However, they were always glad when I offered to drive them in my car. My family, on the other hand, could not understand my strange fascination with my car. For me, it was the first car I had bought with my hard-earned money. Not loving it, would be unfair to it. However, it was not a one-way relationship. The car took care of me too.
I remember the day when it was raining a lot and a large mud puddle had formed outside my house. I had to go out so I decided to take a chance. I sat in the truck thinking it would become the mud's victim, but it maneuvered through the mud just fine. A few days later, I suffered a little fender bender, but the damage to the truck was minimal, but most importantly I was safe. The truck's tough exterior and built really held up that day. All I know is that I fell in love with the car a little more.
So, when people ask me how to tell if a car is the car. I always tell them that prior to buying it, take it for a test drive. If you feel like how I felt, then you will know.
